The advanced technology applied to the 5-layer PP Random pipe

Extreme operating conditions and multi-functionality of the distribution system, together with a great flexibility and speed of use, are the conditions of the process of construction that lead to the realization of the range POLO POLY-MUTAN. Featuring pipes classified SDR 7.4 denominated ML5, the system POLO POLY-MUTAN offers a wide range of bars with diameters of 4 meters: 20, 25, 32, 40, 50, 63, 75, 90 and 110 mm. The qualitative characteristics of the system are many and POLO POLY-MUTAN succinctly summarized by the following points:
  • Low linear expansion - 5 layers technology for minimum linear expansions with a = 0.038 mm / mK and 75% lower expansion as compared to a PP Random standard pipe.
  • Increased safety - 5 layers technology to optimize the internal resistance to the operating pressure and increase safety especially at high temperatures due to the use of the PP-RCT.
  • Increased flow rate  - 5 layers technology has allowed to obtain a bigger internal diameter with an increase of flow rate of 16%.
  • High stability - 5-layer technology allows longer distances between the fastening points.
  • Higher impact resistance - The special compound of POLO-POLYMUTAN ML5 provides higher impact resistance even at low temperatures.
  • Lightweight - Compared to traditional PP-R systems, POLO-POLYMUTAN ML5 provides low costs of storage and easy transport.

The system in GREENTHERM PP.R offers extraordinary reliability for domestic water and heating installations (in compliance with the standard UNI EN ISO 15874:2008); air conditioning installations (in compliance with the standard UNI EN ISO 122421:2009); compressed air lines; circuits for the transport of drinkable fluids and foodstuff liquids (in compliance with Italian Ministerial Decree 174 of 6 April 2004); irrigation systems; and other industrial applications.

Italian Ministerial Decree 37/2008 requires a declaration of conformity for all installations

Note that, irrespective of their intended use, all applications of the GREENTHERM system in random copolymer PP in installations within buildings are subject to Italian Ministerial Decree 37 of 2008, which requires that the installation is realised in compliance with proper working practices and also requires a declaration of conformity for the installation itself. Every stage in the installation must therefore be performed by persons with the necessary technical skills and meeting the requisites defined by applicable legislation and standards.
